Profile
Your Human Design Profile is the pair of numbers in your chart, such as 4/6 or 2/4. It describes the role you play in life and how you learn and relate to others.

The 6/3 Profile in Human Design: Role Model / Martyr
A person with the 6/3 Profile, the Role Model / Martyr, moves back and forth between full involvement and watching from a distance. With Line 3 they learn by trying, making and breaking bonds along the way, and with Line 6 they carry the hope of finding something worth trusting. Partnership matters more to a 6/3 than to almost any other Profile.

The 6/2 Profile in Human Design: Role Model / Hermit
A person with the 6/2 Profile, the Role Model / Hermit, moves through three phases of life, from trial and error to a long stretch of watching from a distance, and then a return to full involvement. Others tend to call on a 6/2 for objective judgment, and trust sits at the center of every close bond.

The 5/2 Profile in Human Design: Heretic / Hermit
A person with the 5/2 Profile, the Heretic / Hermit, draws the projections of others while carrying a deep need to be left alone. Line 2 carries natural talent and a sensitivity to the call, and for a 5/2 the most reliable call often comes from within. Time in withdrawal feels complete to them, and they step forward when they are ready.

The 5/1 Profile in Human Design: Heretic / Investigator
A person with the 5/1 Profile, the Heretic / Investigator, tends to be seen by others as someone who can solve their problems. That projection can bring trust or blame, so careful preparation and good timing matter a great deal. Line 1 carries the depth of research, and Line 5 carries the reach into the wider world.

The 4/1 Profile in Human Design: Opportunist / Investigator
The 4/1 Profile, the Opportunist / Investigator, is one of the least common Profiles and the most fixed of the twelve. A person with this Profile can bend in company, and once alone they return to the same steady course. Friendship comes first in their bonds, and giving too much to the circle can bring fatigue.

The 4/6 Profile in Human Design: Opportunist / Role Model
For a person with the 4/6 Profile, the Opportunist / Role Model, much of life unfolds through friendship and trust. A person with this Profile hopes to share what they know with the people close to them, while their Design carries a pull toward distance and careful observation. Giving too much to the circle can bring fatigue, and the right friendships help them stay true to their own principles.

The 3/6 Profile in Human Design: Martyr / Role Model
The 3/6 Profile, the Martyr / Role Model, learns through direct experience early in life and later becomes an example that others can learn from. Trial and error in the first decades turns into the lived understanding a 3/6 carries forward.

The 3/5 Profile in Human Design: Martyr / Heretic
A 3/5 learns through direct experience while other people place expectations on the results. The 3/5 Profile, the Martyr / Heretic, shows how trial and error becomes a practical answer that others can use.

The 2/5 Profile in Human Design: Hermit / Heretic
The 2/5 Profile, the Hermit / Heretic, combines natural ability that tends to go unnoticed by the person who carries it with a projection from other people that arrives early. Time alone restores a 2/5, and the call from others often brings them back into the world.

The 2/4 Profile in Human Design: Hermit / Opportunist
The 2/4 Profile, the Hermit / Opportunist, combines natural ability that tends to go unnoticed by the person who carries it with a pull toward a trusted circle of friends. Time alone restores a 2/4, and the people close to them are often the ones who call that ability out into the world.

The 1/4 Profile in Human Design: Investigator / Opportunist
The 1/4 Profile, the Investigator / Opportunist, brings together a need for solid foundations and a pull toward trusted relationships. A 1/4 gathers understanding in private and shares it within a close circle, so study and connection feed each other.

The 1/3 Profile in Human Design: Investigator / Martyr
Your Profile pairs two numbers, one from your Personality and one from your Design, each drawn from a line of the I Ching. The 1/3, known as the Investigator / Martyr, is one of twelve possible combinations. What is a Profile? Type describes how you are built to move through life, the mechanics of engaging with what is in front of you. Strategy and Authority give you the guidance for that movement, the correct way to decide and to enter into things correctly. Profile is diffe

Human Design Profiles and the Six Lines Behind Them
A Human Design Profile pairs two lines out of six, one from the conscious Personality and one from the body-based Design. This guide introduces each of the six lines, shows how the pairing works, and links to all twelve Profiles.
