Human Design Fears of the Solar Plexus

The Spleen speaks once, and the mind will not stop talking. The Solar Plexus works in a way different from both. It moves in waves, so the fears carried here rise and fall with the emotional tide, and the same worry can feel enormous in the evening and almost weightless the next morning, with nothing outside having changed.
The Solar Plexus is the awareness center of the emotions, and its fears come out as nervousness. What makes them particular is their timing. These fears live inside a wave that carries a person up into ease and back down into worry, and understanding the wave is the key to understanding them.
Fear that moves in waves
Emotional nervousness is fear on a wave. It swells and recedes on its own rhythm, and while it is high, a small concern can look like a catastrophe. As the wave drops, the same concern shrinks back to its real size. This is why emotional fear is the least reliable in the moment it is felt. The feeling is real, and the size of it in that instant is not to be trusted.
The seven fears of the Solar Plexus
Ra Uru Hu taught seven forms of nervousness carried by the gates of the Solar Plexus. Each one is a particular unease that moves with the wave.
Gate 30, Nervousness about Fate - the longing for an experience, shadowed by the worry that fate will get in the way of it.
Gate 55, Nervousness about Emptiness - the moody swing between fullness and emptiness, and the fear that the emptiness is all there is.
Gate 49, Nervousness about Nature - an old fear of what is untamed and unpredictable, and of forces far larger than us.
Gate 6, Nervousness about Intimacy - the pull toward closeness held together with a wariness of it.
Gate 37, Nervousness about Tradition - the fear of losing the bonds and customs that hold a family or community together.
Gate 22, Nervousness about Silence - the fear that there is nothing worth hearing, and no one who truly listens.
Gate 36, Nervousness about Inadequacy - the fear of not being ready for a new experience one longs for.
Clarity comes over time
For an emotional being, there is no truth in the moment. This is the heart of Emotional Authority, and it holds for anyone with a defined Solar Plexus, whether they are a Generator, a Projector, or a Manifestor. Clarity does not arrive in a flash. It gathers over the length of the wave, as the same situation is felt from the high of the wave and again from the low. Waiting through that wave before deciding is what allows the feeling to be trusted. The nervousness is part of the process, a sign that something matters, and it is not a signal to act.
Lived through your Strategy and Authority, the emotional wave becomes a source of depth and real feeling, and the nervousness that rides it stops being mistaken for the truth of the moment. The feeling does not leave. It takes its place as part of a longer process.
